About The Position

Halter is seeking a Talent Operations Specialist to join their People & Performance team. This role is crucial for building and maintaining the operational engine that drives the company's hiring process. The specialist will ensure the hiring process is efficient, compliant, and provides a world-class candidate experience, especially as the company scales globally. The position can be based in Auckland, Boulder, or Melbourne, with an office-first approach emphasized for accelerated learning and impact.

Requirements

  • Experience in Talent Operations, Recruiting Operations, or People Operations
  • Strong experience with ATS systems (Ashby experience highly preferred)
  • High attention to detail, with a deep care for data integrity and process quality
  • Strong operational mindset with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing compliance, immigration, or audit processes is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end candidate experience and hiring operations, ensuring a seamless journey from initial engagement through to onsite logistics and events.
  • Manage candidate communications, coordinate travel, and support key hiring initiatives.
  • Be responsible for compliance and audit readiness across the hiring lifecycle, including immigration, background checks, and right-to-work requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready records.
  • Act as the owner of the hiring process and data, ensuring strong ATS hygiene, reliable reporting, and clear visibility on hiring performance.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to support workforce planning, forecasting, and team understanding of progress, risk, and achievability.
  • Drive operational excellence at scale by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, implement automation, and leverage AI for increased efficiency.
  • Own the hiring tech stack and vendor relationships, ensuring tools and partners are effective, scalable, and delivering strong value.
  • Support and evolve core hiring programs and infrastructure, including referrals, employer brand touchpoints, and internal mobility.
  • Maintain strong data integrity in partnership with People Ops and ensure fair, consistent processes across the business.
  • Build and maintain scalable hiring playbooks and governance frameworks to enable consistency, quality, and speed.
