About The Position

The Talent Operations Manager leads the full lifecycle of direct care staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce optimization. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless and positive candidate and employee experience while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to support high-quality resident care and operational efficiency. This position works closely with community leadership to align staffing strategies with occupancy, acuity, and budget expectations, while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience in recruiting, staffing, scheduling, or workforce management required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Healthcare or senior living experience preferred
  • Experience with scheduling and applicant tracking systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for direct care staff, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring
  • Ensure timely, consistent communication with candidates to deliver an excellent applicant experience
  • Partner with leadership to proactively identify staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure accurate documentation
  • Oversee onboarding from offer acceptance through orientation
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate new hire orientation to ensure a welcoming, organized experience
  • Partner with the Business Office Manager to ensure completion of all pre-employment requirements
  • Support early engagement and retention through regular check-ins during the first 90 days
  • Develop and manage staff schedules based on resident needs, occupancy, and acuity
  • Proactively adjust schedules to address call-offs, open shifts, and operational changes
  • Ensure fair and equitable scheduling practices
  • Assist with direct care as needed to support staffing coverage and quality care
  • Coordinate after-hours and weekend staffing needs and respond to urgent gaps
  • Serve as a point of contact for staffing-related issues outside standard business hours
  • Monitor and manage overtime in alignment with budget expectations
  • Identify trends and implement strategies to improve staffing efficiency and reduce overtime
  • Ensure hiring, onboarding, and scheduling practices comply with all policies and regulations
  • Partner with the Business Office Manager to maintain accurate employee records
  • Provide regular updates on hiring progress, staffing levels, and workforce challenges
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover
  • Lead employee engagement efforts, including stay interviews and feedback collection
  • Partner with leadership to address staffing challenges and foster a positive work environment
