About The Position

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We're changing that. Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive. This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don't just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale. We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life. If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience running performance and talent management programs end to end—goal setting, performance cycles, calibration, and rollout.
  • A strong command of job architecture, KPI design, and cascading goals across an organization.
  • A data-savvy, analytical approach to measuring performance and diagnosing what's working.
  • A hands-on operator who is as comfortable designing the system as doing the work to implement it.
  • A focus on the analytical side of talent management—goal-setting, measurement, and performance systems.
  • Experience in a scale-up, high-growth, or technology environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuild performance management: Lead the overhaul of how performance is run—goal setting, review cycles, and calibration—from design through rollout.
  • Reset the cadence: Move the performance model to a rhythm that drives the organization forward without consuming it, evolving away from a heavy quarterly cycle.
  • Own job architecture: Shape how roles, levels, and career paths are organized across the company.
  • Define and cascade goals: Build the framework for setting goals and cascading them from the company level down through every team.
  • Measure performance across functions: Design meaningful KPIs and performance measures for teams where success isn't purely metrics-driven—from HR to legal to operations.
  • Work hands-on: Design and implement programs yourself, drawing on support from the broader People team rather than a large team of your own.
