About The Position

SCT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Team Intern to support our People Team in various HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Community Engagement. The HR Intern will gain hands-on experience in human resources while contributing to key initiatives and projects that enhance our organization's culture and operations. All jobs at Southern Champion Tray (SCT) require Team members to act in accordance with the shared Core Values and Operating principles of the company as they perform specific job functions. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Canva or other design tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn about various aspects of human resources.
  • Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate to others the meaning of complex documents including legal documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English.
  • Must be able to understand and speak clearly and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Review resumes to assess qualifications and fit for open roles.
  • Communicate with candidates to provide updates and schedule interviews.
  • Attend career fairs to represent the company and assist with talent attraction efforts.
  • Create and manage social media content to enhance employer branding.
  • Assist with the facilitation of new hire orientation and preparation of materials.
  • Organize and maintain training class materials.
  • Oversee the Leadership Library by updating the library index and ensuring books are shelved properly.
