About The Position

The Talent (Acquisition) Lead is responsible for supporting the organization's talent acquisition and employee onboarding initiatives by attracting, recruiting, screening, and hiring top talent. This role manages the full recruitment lifecycle while partnering with hiring managers to ensure a positive candidate experience. The Talent (Acquisition) Lead also supports onboarding, new hire orientation, employment documentation, and various HR initiatives that contribute to employee engagement and organizational success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recruiting.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills oral & written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple departments or locations.
  • Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification within the orientation period is required.
  • Must also successfully complete Mental Health First Aid, ANE, and PIAB training during the orientation period.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and supporting recruiting strategies.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and community partnerships.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, coordinate interviews, and facilitate candidate selection.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and ensure recruiting metrics are accurate.
  • Maintain organization-wide vacancy reports, recruiting dashboards, and key metrics (time-to-fill, vacancy rates, candidate pipeline) while providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate hiring events, job fairs, open interviews, and other recruiting initiatives for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities including background checks, reference checks, and employment verification.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs as needed.
  • Ensure completion of employment paperwork, I-9 verification, and compliance documentation, as needed.
  • Partner with managers to create a positive onboarding experience that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Assist with HR compliance and audits as needed.
  • Promote the organization's employment brand through career fairs, networking events, colleges, and community outreach.
  • Recommend improvements to recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships with colleges, workforce agencies, recovery organizations, and other organizations to build diverse talent pipelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting, onboarding, and orientation processes by developing standardized workflows, interview guides, and onboarding checklists to enhance the candidate and new hire experience.
