About The Position

The Talent & Engagement Partner will coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation, ensuring a consistent onboarding experience across all locations. This role involves partnering with various departments to complete onboarding checklists, conduct new-hire follow-ups, and translate feedback into experience improvements. Additionally, the position supports pre-employment logistics, employee engagement activities, survey administration, and manager/employee communication. The role also focuses on retention initiatives, exit interviews, promoting internal career advancement, and maintaining accurate talent records. A key aspect is supporting the hiring process by coordinating interviews and candidate communications, ensuring a positive candidate experience. The role also involves tracking and reporting talent and engagement KPIs, supporting HR projects, and providing customer service to employees and managers.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and during emergency situations such as inclement weather.
  • Two (2) years of human resources experience with emphasis on onboarding, employee engagement, or talent coordination OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation, ensuring a consistent onboarding experience across all locations.
  • Partner with managers, IT, Payroll, Safety, and Operations to complete onboarding checklists and integrate new hires.
  • Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day new-hire follow-ups and translate feedback into experience improvements.
  • Support pre-employment logistics including scheduling background checks and drug screens and gathering candidate paperwork.
  • Support employee engagement, appreciation, and culture activities across headquarters and field locations.
  • Assist with engagement, new hire, and exit survey administration and summarize results into actionable insights.
  • Support manager and employee communication and field presence in coordination with the Talent & Engagement experience.
  • Partner with managers to identify retention risks and support retention initiatives.
  • Coordinate exit interviews and help identify turnover trends.
  • Promote internal career-advancement opportunities and support succession-planning activities.
  • Enter and maintain talent, onboarding, engagement, and candidate (ATS) records accurately and confidentially.
  • Maintain onboarding, engagement, and hiring documentation.
  • Track and report talent and engagement key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-based improvements.
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide timely and professional customer service to employees and managers.
  • Support the hiring process in partnership with the Director – HR, Talent & Engagement, including scheduling and coordinating interviews and candidate communications.
  • Assist with requisition tracking and candidate flow within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Provide a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
