About The Position

The Talent Development Partner is responsible for facilitating courses, maintaining programs, and performing tasks related to the development of team members throughout the organization. This position will operate at a professional level while working closely with organization leaders to build talent and instill a culture of learning. The Talent Development Partner requires a perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels of the organization and approach operational support in a consultative way.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of corporate training experience. (Required)
  • Experience providing formal and interactive presentations/learning experiences to small and large audiences. (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and influence people from various backgrounds and levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and adapt instruction within a remote work environment, including facilitation of training using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other platforms
  • Demonstrated skill using current and innovative adult learning practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using computers and software applications. Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications and use effectively.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical solutions
  • Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions
  • Ability to establish procedures for the effective implementation of the Compensation and Benefits Manager’s directives. Prepare reports, correspondence, and other information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Adult Education (Required)
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License and a Class III Gaming License.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using learning management systems. (Preferred)
  • Human Resource experience in policies, procedures, and employment law. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-person, virtual or blended learning experiences and development opportunities to the organization that require public speaking, classroom management, and retention assessment aspects.
  • Partner with HR, senior leaders, and other members of L&D to create exciting, modern, and comprehensive learning experiences for operations leaders and team members
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate class availability/schedules to all pertinent departments and team members/employees
  • Utilize our learning management systems for record keeping, design workflow for reporting, and operate as an enrollment specialist.
  • Annually evaluate all external and internal learning and development programs using formal and informal evaluation tools
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner in planning and delivering large-scale development or learning sessions
  • Identify opportunities to develop, facilitate, and maintain learning efforts to fill skills or knowledge gaps of the organization.
  • Manage the requests for training or instructional resources and create systems to support the evaluation of requests, recommending and developing a scope of work, and executing the design, development, and delivery of the instruction or resource.
  • Provide strategic revision recommendations for current learning and development initiatives.
  • Interprets internal survey or assessment data to provide direction, resources, and support for operational teams.
  • Formulate facilitator guides and determines instructional methods such as individual development, group instruction, computer-based learning, lectures, demonstrations, and meetings.
  • Ensure that all course curricula and educational materials are updated and of exceptional quality.
  • Design programs, courses and content that are aligned with industry best practices and research in the areas of adult learning theory, high potential development, and engagement.
  • Develops assessment and skills models to support operations teams in continued development of their teams.
