Position Overview The Talent Development Manager plays a critical role in designing and delivering development experiences that build capability, accelerate readiness, and support Copeland’s evolving talent needs. Reporting to the Director, Talent & Performance , this role is responsible for translating talent strategies into practical, innovative, and impactful development solutions. This role supports Early Career Program Development , including Internship, Apprenticeship, and the Accelerate Early Career Development Program , and also contributes to other Talent Development initiatives across Copeland . This position is ideal for a hands-on talent development professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and innovation—bringing modern learning approaches, including AI-enabled solutions, to support a skills-based and future-ready workforce.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, or a related HR discipline
  • Proven experience designing and implementing blended development programs in a complex or multi-region organization
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in talent development, future skills, and the future of work.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and apply insights for improvement
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • EARLY CAREER PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY
  • Program Design & Implementation: Partner with the Talent Development Senior Manager – Early Career to design, refine, and implement development components for Copeland’s Early Career Programs. This includes onboarding experiences, learning journeys, rotation enablement, mentoring structures, and cohort-based learning.
  • Development Curriculum & Learning Journeys: Build and maintain structured learning paths aligned to program milestones, functional needs, and enterprise capabilities.
  • Facilitation & Learning Delivery: Facilitate workshops, learning labs, and cohort sessions as needed, partnering with internal leaders and external facilitators to deliver high-impact learning experiences.
  • Program Operations & Continuous Improvement: Manage program logistics, learning schedules, participant communications, and evaluation processes. Gather feedback and data to assess effectiveness and continuously improve development offerings.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders and HR partners to ensure development activities are aligned with business priorities and participant needs.
  • Future Skills Strategy: Identify emerging skill requirements and help to develop strategies to upskill and reskill talent, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry trends.
  • OTHER TALENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES
  • Enterprise Development Support: Partner with Talent & Organizational Effectiveness (T&OE), HR, and business leaders to support a broad range of development and education needs across Copeland including leadership development, performance management enablement, culture activation, and functional capability building.
  • Learning Solutions Design: Translate business and talent priorities into practical development solutions by designing blended learning experiences, toolkits, and presentations, leveraging best practices in adult learning, modern learning design, and emerging technologies.
  • Facilitation & Enablement: Design and facilitate learning labs, workshops, and leader enablement sessions, including the development of facilitation guides, toolkits, and presentation materials tied to performance, development planning, and culture activation
  • Innovation & Future-Focused Development: Explore and apply innovative, AI-enabled learning solutions to enhance development experiences, personalize learning, improve scalability, and support Copeland’s evolution toward a skills-based organization. Stay informed on emerging workforce trends and integrate relevant insights into development offerings.
