About The Position

The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of training and employee development within our manufacturing facility in Aurora, Ohio. This role ensures that all employees, from new hires to experienced managers, receive effective onboarding, ongoing professional development, and leadership training. The Talent Development Manager leverages contemporary training tools and applies adult learning principles to maximize engagement and effectiveness across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in talent development, training, or organizational learning, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in adult learning principles and contemporary training tools.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and use metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Based in Aurora, Ohio manufacturing facility.
  • Combination of office and production floor environments.
  • Some travel may be required for training delivery or professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and alignment with company culture.
  • Coordinate with HR and department managers to customize onboarding experiences for various roles.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate learning pathways for skill enhancement, career growth, and compliance.
  • Create Career Ladders for each functional area.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship opportunities.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs for supervisors and managers to enhance leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Stay current on best practices in management development and integrate them into training offerings.
  • Utilize modern learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, webinars, and virtual classrooms.
  • Incorporate blended learning techniques, microlearning, and interactive content to increase engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Apply adult learning theories to ensure training is relevant, practical, and learner-centered.
  • Customize training approaches based on diverse learning styles and workforce demographics.
  • Collect and analyze feedback to refine programs for maximum impact.
  • Ensure all training complies with OSHA and other regulatory requirements specific to manufacturing.
  • May deliver safety training programs to support the EHS team.
  • Track training participation, completion rates, and outcomes.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on training effectiveness and recommendations for improvement.
