About The Position

Deliver end‑to‑end HR operational services in processes like recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance reporting. Advise leaders and employees on HR matters, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years Relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Human Resources Management, or Business Administration (with concentration in Human Resources, Management, or Organizational Development), Management, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, or a closely related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, in Spanish and English.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate resources effectively.
  • Handle sensitive financial and personnel information responsibly.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools, banking software, data security protocols, and digital platforms.
  • Respond to changing regulations, market conditions, and organizational needs.
  • Understand and respond to internal and external client needs.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulatory compliance and other financial regulations.
  • Anticipate and provide service excellence to both internal and external customers.
  • Establish, sustain, and foster both internal and professional contacts to build, enhance and connect to FirstBank services.

  • An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant human resources experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment activities for positions across the region, partnering with business leaders and hiring managers to identify talent needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies.
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans, sourcing strategies, and talent pipelines to attract qualified candidates aligned with organizational workforce requirements.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, university events, networking activities, and community outreach initiatives to identify and engage prospective candidates.
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, facilitate the selection process, and provide guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the appropriate Immigration and Compliance functions to verify eligibility to work in the United States and ensure compliance with employment authorization requirements.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives by providing talent market insights and staffing recommendations to business leaders.
  • Coordinate and administer employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Facilitate completion of new hire documentation, system access, benefits enrollment guidance, and policy acknowledgements in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Partner with hiring managers and leadership to support role specific onboarding activities and timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, ensuring application of disciplinary policies, company procedures, and compliance with local and federal employment regulations.
  • Assist with the management of and resolution of employee relations issues and workplace concerns, including investigations, facilitating conflict resolution, and recommending actions to promote fair treatment and a positive work environment.
  • Support the HR efforts to promote a healthy employer-employee relationship climate by advising leadership, delivering training on HR policies and practices, and fostering a culture of compliance, respect, and employee engagement.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and action plans in collaboration with business leaders and HR partners.
  • Assist in the coordination of employee surveys, feedback tools, and engagement related communications.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit required labor statistics, surveys, and reports to government agencies in compliance with applicable local and federal laws, including OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data used for external reporting and audits.
  • Maintain documentation supporting regulatory submissions and respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of changes in reporting requirements and support organizational compliance efforts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention requirements through the accurate maintenance of human resources personnel files.
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and requests for personnel documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and information security standards related to employee records.
  • Manage the digitization, organization, and secure storage of employee personnel files to support data integrity and accessibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
