About The Position

Snyk is seeking an experienced Talent Business Partner Director (HRBP) to serve as the strategic people partner to Snyk's global R&D organization, which includes engineering, product, and design teams. This role will act as a trusted advisor to senior R&D leaders on talent strategy, organizational design, and scaling high-performing technical teams. Initially an individual contributor role, there is potential to build and lead a team as the R&D organization's people needs evolve. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR/People experience.
  • Several years supporting Engineering, Product, R&D, or another technical organization, ideally in a high-growth software or security company.
  • Proven track record of partnering directly with senior (VP/C-level) technical leaders as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong experience with organizational design and scaling technical teams.
  • Sound judgment on sensitive employee relations matters with working knowledge of employment practices across multiple countries (US, UK, Israel, Romania, and beyond).
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable analyzing people data to influence decisions.
  • Ability to operate at multiple levels, from strategic advising to individual coaching.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building or scaling people programs in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to R&D's senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and people strategy to support Snyk's product and engineering roadmap.
  • Coach and develop engineering and product managers at all levels on team building, performance management, and handling difficult conversations.
  • Partner with R&D leadership on organizational design, team scaling, and restructuring, providing insights on structuring technical organizations for speed and cohesion.
  • Lead complex or sensitive employee relations matters within R&D, ensuring sound judgment and knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations across multiple countries.
  • Utilize people data and workforce analytics to identify trends (attrition, engagement, promotion velocity) within the R&D organization and translate these insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Drive R&D's participation in company-wide talent programs, including talent calibration, compensation reviews, and performance cycles, adapting processes for a global technical workforce.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent within R&D and collaborate with Talent Acquisition on critical technical hiring and succession planning.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Growth, and People Operations to ensure R&D people programs align with the broader Snyk people strategy.
  • Mentor other members of the People team and contribute to the evolution of the wider People function as Snyk scales.
