Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of HR policies and procedures related to employment and pre-employment
  • Advanced knowledge of IT programs, systems, software, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of company hiring practices
  • Complete understanding of the GM Financial pre-employment and business processes, policies and procedures
  • Complete understanding of individual hiring manager’s expectations of the recruitment process
  • Advanced knowledge of technology solutions and their application within the hiring process
  • Advanced knowledge of governmental employment law and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of statutory regulations (e.g., anti-discrimination laws, pre-employment screenings, interview techniques/limitations, etc..)
  • Knowledge of behavioral based interviewing practices and other selection methods
  • Advanced knowledge of employee performance standards and organizational development
  • Managing senior leader relationships
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines
  • Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate a team-oriented collaborative nature
  • Extensive knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Extensive knowledge of posting open requisitions, tracking candidate activity and maintaining compliance with required data fields
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Oracle iRecruitment, and online job posting/search engines

  • Proficiency with leading small scale talent acquisition projects

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years full life-cycle recruiting experience, preferably with a strong background with high volume positions
  • Experience with developing and executing sourcing strategies
  • Experience deploying, administering and interpreting various assessment tools

  • The ability to fluently speak Spanish and/or Portuguese would be valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Recruiting leadership, HR Partners and Hiring Managers to execute a staffing strategy to include full life cycle recruiting, assisting in the development and execution of a broad based sourcing strategy, ultimately delivering a viable talent pipeline for the business.
  • Develop and execute a plan to meet hiring requirements by evaluating, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers and also provide regular updates throughout the process to ensure candidate decisions are made timely.
  • Extend and negotiate employment offers with candidates by selling the company and the position and completes the pre-employment process according to recruiting guidelines.
  • Emphasis on exempt and non-exempt positions, and will assist all facets of recruitment and complete special projects, as needed.
  • Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive sourcing strategies and conduct candidate sourcing for assigned roles in functional area by leveraging multiple sourcing channels to identify and attract top talent.
  • Proactively search for, identify, network with and directly contact active and passive job seekers, both internally and externally, for vacancies.
  • Sourcing the best candidates using a variety of channels that are aligned to and effectively communicate.
  • Meet defined Talent Acquisition metrics for quality, cost, cycle time, diversity and compliance/risk all while providing a world class recruitment experience for candidates and business partners throughout the hiring process.
  • Participation in special projects to enhance and improve the Recruiting department’s functions.
  • With minimal guidance, extend employment offers with candidates and complete the pre-employment process according to the recruiting guidelines.
