Protect Democracy is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their small, collaborative People and Culture Team. The role focuses on finding and supporting exceptional people to meet the urgency and importance of the pro-democracy movement. Protect Democracy was formed in late 2016 with a mission to prevent the decline of democracy into a more authoritarian form of government. They have assembled a team of over 130 experts. In this role, the specialist will support the Talent Acquisition Manager in cultivating, recruiting, and hiring diverse talent. Daily tasks include conducting interviews and reference checks, screening resumes, managing candidate experience, and administering hiring searches. Collaboration with the People and Culture team on hiring process iteration and recruitment strategy is also key, focusing on sustainable and equitable hiring practices. During periods of minimal hiring, the role may support other organizational health initiatives like community-building events, trainings, and culture-focused projects. The priority application deadline is June 17, 2026, with rolling review thereafter. This is a remote position based in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Philadelphia area.
