About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be hired under the Company umbrella as a fixed-term employee for an assignment anticipated to last approximately six months to one year, depending on business needs, recruitment volume, and the pace of operational ramp-up. This role will support Jerritt Canyon during a critical ramp-up period, with a focus on headhunting, passive candidate sourcing, and recruitment for hard-to-fill technical, specialized, and leadership roles. The successful candidate will be a highly responsive, self-directed recruiting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can quickly build targeted talent pipelines, advise hiring managers, and deliver a strong candidate experience in competitive mining and technical labor markets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting mining, industrial, technical, construction, manufacturing, energy, or other hard-to-fill roles.
  • Demonstrated success headhunting, sourcing passive candidates, and filling hard-to-fill technical, specialized, or leadership roles.
  • Ability to work with significant autonomy, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Creative, resourceful, and willing to think outside the box to identify talent, solve problems, and move searches forward.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to advise hiring managers and build credibility across all levels.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office applications, job boards, LinkedIn, and modern sourcing tools.
  • Remote work arrangement must be based in Nevada, with the ability to travel occasionally to the Jerritt Canyon mine site for key meetings and recruitment-related activities, and to attend career fairs or other recruiting events as needed.
  • High attention to detail, follow-through, sound judgment, confidentiality, and professional discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical, professional, operational, and leadership roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers on recruiting strategy, market conditions, candidate availability, compensation positioning, interview plans, and timelines.
  • Develop and execute targeted headhunting strategies, including passive outreach, competitor mapping, industry networking, referrals, and talent pipeline development.
  • Take ownership of critical hard-to-fill requisitions with urgency, persistence, and accountability.
  • Build relationships with passive candidates, mining professionals, workforce partners, schools, and industry organizations to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Provide clear candidate assessments, hiring recommendations, and timely communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Represent First Majestic and Jerritt Canyon professionally by promoting the opportunity, culture, compensation, benefits, and growth potential.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity, candidate data, requisition status, updates, metrics, and reports in the ATS.
  • Exercise sound judgment, confidentiality, professionalism, and alignment with Company values in all interactions.
  • Perform work safely and complete other related duties as assigned.
