About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be part of the Tandy Leather Human Resources team with responsibility of managing job postings, coordinating, and conducting interviews, partnering with hiring managers to source and hire great employees within a dynamic and high performing team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will ensure our company attracts, hires, trains and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience with high volume recruiting for a variety of retail, warehouse and corporate positio
  • Quick learner and self-starter and multi-tasker with the ability to manage and fill multiple open positions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outgoing and collaborative, able to work effectively with managers at all levels.
  • Results-driven “go-getter” with strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and internal systems (ADP)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Experienced in conducting various interview types and connecting with diverse applicants.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple selection processes, including phone screens, video interviews, and reference checks.
  • Ability to learn Human Resources and gain an understanding of labor laws.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruiting to meet organizational staffing needs, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer drafting, negotiation, and extending offers.
  • Create and manage job postings. Refine and craft compelling job posts that attract the right talent.
  • Work closely with hiring managers through the interviewing process to provide insight into candidate’s skills, qualifications, culture fit and to build the talent pipeline.
  • Closely manage the experience of the candidate throughout the recruitment cycle, maintain timely communication with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Utilize ADP applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to manage requisitions, track progress, and maintain accurate data.
  • Source active and passive candidates through online research, social media, events, and nontraditional methods to build diverse, high-quality talent pools.
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
  • Collaborate with our business units to develop and lead onboarding and new-hire training programs
  • Build, maintain, and run a structured orientation program (weekly and as needed) to provide a consistent onboarding experience.
  • Actively seeks ways to improve the candidate experience and internal recruiting processes.
