About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and present in front of a large group of people.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn UKG recruiting and onboarding modules.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Regular overnight travel
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Finger dexterity and manipulation to operate a computer keyboard
  • Required to operate a company vehicle, must maintain a valid Driver’s License in good standings

Responsibilities

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements recruiting strategies to attract and source qualified candidates.
  • Develop a recruitment plan and budget to address company staffing needs annually.
  • Study organization plans and objectives, and collaborate with management and Human Resources staff to identify hiring needs for short- and long-term goals.
  • Attend job and career fairs.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with colleges, high schools, and industry trade groups to create and sustain a pipeline of candidates.
  • Partner with management and Human Resources Staff in employee retention initiatives.
  • Interview candidates as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies as it pertains to hiring.
  • Help facilitated new hire orientation when available.
  • Provide presentations to schools and relevant organizations.
  • Manages the company’s job shadow and internship programs.
  • Lead projects as assigned.
  • Provide recruitment reporting as requested, to include senior leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
