About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Recruiting, Compensation, and HRIS, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for assigned areas of candidate recruitment, selection and employment. This role functions as the Systems Specialist for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Related Field
  • Three years of HR work experience.
  • Skill in behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Ability to problem solve and think through issues until resolution.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills and ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a business environment, and MS Office software required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with internal HR colleagues and all employee levels within the organization with an exceptional customer service focus.
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with managers and subject matter experts.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative to make or adapt to changes.
  • Works both independently and as a team member.
  • Familiar with PeopleSoft or other talent acquisition management software.

Responsibilities

  • Executes full life-cycle recruitment through interviewing and selection criteria which include spiritual requirements, employability standards, background checks, work history, references, valid testing, and equal employment opportunity compliance.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all levels of supervisory and leadership employees at MBI.
  • Works with hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans and ensures compliance with all federal/state/local laws and regulations.
  • Assists hiring managers in making appropriate selection decisions.
  • Provides guidelines in the determination of salary offers and start dates, and extends job offers.
  • Ensures compliance with staffing process and procedures.
  • Conducts training programs for managers designed to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover.
  • Provides clarification of the Employee Information Guide, employment policies and standards, and preliminary assistance to managers in the handling of performance and discipline problems, in accordance with MBI practice.
  • Responds to applicant e-mails and phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Internally coordinates new employee orientation and communicates information with new hires.
  • Maintains and acts as subject matter expert for the applicant tracking system.
  • Creates job postings for all non-student positions, both internal and external.
  • Manages employee referral program.
  • Arranges travel and lodging when necessary.
  • Acts as a representative of MBI at job fairs or activities outside MBI on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
