The Beem Talent Acquisition Team is looking for an intermediate recruiter for a temporary 8-month position. You’ll join a small but mighty talent acquisition team working to support a credit union with 60+ branches across British Columbia. We are in a growth phase and are operating in a merger landscape. The successful candidate will recruit for a mix of positions from entry-level to senior branch roles as well as head office team members. This is a temporary 8-month position, to support high volume hiring. This role is open to a remote work arrangement in British Columbia. While we welcome all applications, we anticipate filling this role with a candidate located in British Columbia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in industry best practices, including talent sourcing, behavioral interviewing, and selection strategies
  • Proven experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other recruitment tools

  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience in banking/credit union recruitment
  • Experience in both in-house and agency recruitment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to source and select top talent following best practices
  • Post open positions, screen candidates, conduct initial interviews over phone and video call, recommend candidates, schedule interviews for hiring managers, debrief and support hiring decisions, make offers, conduct background checks
  • Support hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions that attract qualified candidates
  • Provide a world-class candidate experience
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, integrating them into the talent acquisition function
