About The Position

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in our ability to attract, assess and recruit the right talent for our hotels and restaurants. You will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle for the positions assigned to you, from candidate sourcing to selection and hiring manager support. You will also contribute to a more proactive and strategic approach to talent acquisition by analyzing workforce needs, developing pools of qualified candidates and proposing attraction strategies adapted to the realities of our hotels and restaurants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to five years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or a similar role, ideally in a high-volume, multi-site or hotel and restaurant environment.
  • Ability to analyze workforce needs, understand business challenges and provide recommendations adapted to operational realities.
  • Sound judgment to assess candidates’ skills, potential and alignment, with tact, influence and professionalism in your relationships with hiring managers, candidates and partners.
  • Autonomy, agility, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to use recruitment tools with rigor, including applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Strong communication skills in French and English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking colleagues, hiring managers, partners and candidates across Canada.
  • Availability for occasional travel to visit the hotels and restaurants assigned to you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for the positions assigned to you, including posting, sourcing, pre-screening, interviews, follow-ups, recommendations to hiring managers and applicable verification steps.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to fully understand their workforce needs, operational challenges and market context, then propose adapted recruitment strategies.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and proactively build pools of qualified candidates for current and future roles, while monitoring recurring needs, high-volume periods and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Assess applications with sound judgment, considering experience, skills, potential, role requirements and alignment with Germain Hotels’ culture.
  • Support hiring managers with recruitment and selection best practices by providing clear, objective recommendations adapted to the reality of each role.
  • Ensure job postings are attractive, identify relevant posting platforms and sourcing tools based on markets and target profiles, and contribute to a consistent tone, employer brand and candidate experience.
  • Represent Germain Hotels at job fairs, campus initiatives and visibility events, and maintain lasting relationships with hospitality schools, colleges, universities and other talent partners.
  • Contribute to Talent Acquisition team projects and initiatives, particularly those related to improving processes, tools and practices, while staying up to date on market trends and recruitment best practices.
