Talent Acquisition Specialist
About The Position
ROCKWOOL is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their North American Talent Acquisition team. This role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work arrangement (Monday-Thursday in office, Friday remote). The specialist will help attract, hire, and onboard exceptional talent, supporting key Talent Acquisition programs and initiatives across North America. The position combines recruiting with Talent Acquisition operations, involving partnerships with hiring managers, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience, supporting onboarding and employer branding, and assisting with local HR activities like new employee orientation. The team is described as collaborative, high-performing, and committed to continuous improvement, valuing open communication, diverse perspectives, and opportunities for learning and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- One or more years of experience in Recruiting/Talent Acquisition, required
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
Nice To Haves
- Additional experience in HR a plus
- Workday or other Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to support full-cycle recruitment activities
- Source, screen, and interview candidates while delivering an exceptional candidate experience
- Support campus recruiting, career fairs, and employer branding activities
- Coordinate interviews, offer logistics, onboarding activities and pre-employment requirements
- Manage the North America background check process
- Facilitate local new employee orientation and support select HR initiatives
- Track recruiting metrics and prepare reports
- Process candidate travel and expense reimbursements
- Provide administrative and operational support for Talent Acquisition programs
