About The Position

The Texas Retirement System (TRS) is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the intermediate or senior level to lead recruiting and talent acquisition work, particularly for specialized, hard-to-fill finance, investment, quantitative, IT, business administration, audit, and accounting positions. The selected applicant will be offered the level that most closely matches their education and experience. It also develops sourcing plans, evaluates recruiting strategies, uses online sourcing tools, and provides recruiting support and advice to managers and staff. The specialist may support other HR functions, processes, and projects. At the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist level, the role designs and manages strategic sourcing programs, recruitment campaigns, outreach, university relationships, internship coordination, and recruiting events. It advises hiring managers on recruitment plans and timing, builds relationships with active and passive candidates, and supports hiring, onboarding, orientation, and separation processes. It also develops employer-branding strategies and recruitment materials, represents TRS at events, and leads or participates in projects and workgroups. The position is based at the TRS Headquarters Building in Austin, Texas. The listed overall compensation range is $67,080 to $115,000 annually; the posting also lists level-specific salary ranges, though the stated intermediate range contains an apparent formatting error.
