About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their Nurse Recruitment team. This role serves as a strategic talent advisor, partnering with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract top nursing talent. The specialist will support the workforce needs of a leading healthcare system while helping candidates find opportunities to grow their careers and make a difference in the communities served.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two years of Human Resources experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or four years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED required
  • Candidates must reside within the Hampton Roads, Virginia area and be available to attend onsite events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • Nurse Recruitment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare environments preferred
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for nursing and clinical positions within assigned business areas.
  • Work closely with leaders to understand workforce needs, develop sourcing strategies, and create positive candidate experiences from first contact through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for high-volume, specialized, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Proactively source candidates through networking, talent pipelines, referrals, social media, and other recruitment channels.
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to identify the best fit for the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on recruitment trends, labor market conditions, and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Participate in recruitment events, career fairs, nursing school partnerships, and other talent attraction activities.
  • Lead or participate in recruitment projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.
