About The Position

At Wind River Environmental, we do work that matters. Every day, our teams keep homes, businesses, municipalities and critical infrastructure operating by providing essential environmental and wastewater services. We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Talent Acquisition Specialist who understands that great recruiting is about much more than filling openings. It's about building relationships, understanding the work, identifying people who will thrive in our culture, and helping our operations leaders build strong teams for the long term. If you're someone who enjoys getting out into the business, learning how the work really gets done, and connecting great people with meaningful careers, we'd love to meet you.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Must reside within the Wind River Environmental operating footprint.
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for blue-collar, skilled trades, transportation, environmental services, construction or other industrial field operations.
  • Experience recruiting CDL and other safety-sensitive positions.
  • Strong sourcing skills with demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates.
  • Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with candidates, hiring managers and HR partners.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, curious and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (Paylocity experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for candidates located in the Orlando, FL metropolitan area. Candidates in North/Central Florida will also be considered.
  • We may also consider exceptional candidates located in the Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA metropolitan areas.
  • Experience recruiting within industrial services or field service organizations.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an average portfolio of 20–30 active requisitions, with hiring activity increasing during peak seasonal periods. At times, active requisitions may approach 50, often driven by multiple openings for the same role within a branch or region rather than 50 distinct positions.
  • Partner with Operations Managers and Supervisors to understand hiring needs, workforce challenges and what success looks like in each role.
  • Build strong working relationships with Regional HR Business Partners to align hiring activity with workforce planning, compensation practices and broader talent strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on hiring escalations, post-offer screening questions and other employment-related situations requiring additional review and guidance.
  • Conduct intake meetings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews and guide candidates through the hiring process from application to offer.
  • Conduct interviews in both English and Spanish.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines using multiple sourcing strategies, including sponsored job advertising, online recruiting platforms, employee referrals, networking and proactive outreach.
  • Actively seek out high-quality passive candidates and continuously look for new ways to identify great talent.
  • Share market insights, candidate feedback and hiring recommendations that help managers make informed hiring decisions.
  • Deliver a responsive, professional and engaging candidate experience that reflects the Wind River Environmental brand.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity within our Applicant Tracking System (Paylocity experience is a plus).
  • Travel throughout your assigned region as needed to strengthen relationships, better understand local hiring markets and stay connected to field operations.
  • Spend time in our branches, visit job sites, ride along with field crews, ask questions and see firsthand what our employees do every day.
  • Evaluate work ethic, safety mindset, professionalism, resilience, customer service, pride in workmanship and whether someone will represent our company well in our customers' communities.
  • Help our hiring managers look beyond licenses and resumes to identify people who genuinely fit the role and our culture.
  • Balance urgency with quality—and building strong relationships along the way.

Benefits

  • Flexible remote work within our operating footprint.
  • Competitive hourly compensation.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays.
  • Ongoing learning and career development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing essential services company where your work directly helps build the teams that keep our business—and our customers—running.
