About The Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization’s recruitment and selection processes and serves as a strategic partner to leadership and hiring managers to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively. A key focus of this position will be developing and maintaining strong partnerships with colleges and universities to build a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates, foster community engagement, and promote career opportunities aligned with our mission. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a vital role in delivering a positive candidate experience while upholding the organization’s values and commitment to excellence. The Barry Robinson Center is a residential treatment facility serving military-connected youth, with a non-profit mission to improve the lives of children and their families. We are seeking an HR professional with a passion for recruitment, a talent for cultivating relationships with higher education institutions, and a strong appreciation for the impact each hire has on fulfilling our mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting/talent acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment best practices, and sourcing techniques
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms, Paycom preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidate has experience in healthcare settings as well as an understanding of CARF and DBHDS requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for open positions across all departments
  • Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs to proactively address anticipated openings
  • Collaborate with Marketing department to develop new and creative recruitment strategies
  • Create and maintain job postings that accurately reflect position requirements and organizational culture
  • Source candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and community partnerships
  • Build and nurture partnerships with colleges, universities, and community organizations to enhance the visibility and reach of the JBRI brand (Estimated out of office including travel: 30%)
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and execute effective engagement strategies
  • Responsible for managing intern inquiries/submissions as well as talent development aspects for the organization
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview logistics with hiring teams
  • Maintain accurate and compliant recruitment records within the applicant tracking system (ATS), time to fill metrics, and a weekly staffing report
  • Monitor recruiting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and recommend improvements
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, community events, and professional networking opportunities
  • Ensure proper fiscal responsibility in recruitment related tasks and responsibilities
  • Ensure all recruitment practices align with organizational policies and employment law requirements
