About The Position

Trustpair is seeking an experienced Freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist based in New York to support our Talent Acquisition team as we scale our U.S. business. This role will own end-to-end recruitment for U.S.-based positions, partnering directly with hiring managers and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition and People teams in Paris. The focus will be on commercial and customer-facing roles within the Revenue department, with flexibility for other functions based on hiring priorities. The ideal candidate will have market knowledge, initiative, and follow-through to manage searches independently, provide thoughtful advice to hiring managers, and ramp up quickly. Success will be measured by hiring delivery, pipeline quality and conversion, time to hire, offer acceptance, and candidate experience. This is a freelance, part-time assignment (2-3 days per week) based in the New York metro area, with a target start in January 2027.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, including independently managing full-cycle recruitment for U.S.-based roles.
  • Experience recruiting commercial and customer-facing roles in B2B SaaS or technology environments, with a track record of delivering hires.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. talent market, including New York, and the ability to advise hiring managers on candidate availability and compensation expectations.
  • Proven ability to identify and engage passive candidates through targeted sourcing and tailored outreach.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to clarify expectations, provide constructive feedback, and keep hiring decisions moving.
  • A structured, proactive approach to managing concurrent searches, shifting priorities, and accurate recruitment records.
  • Confidence using ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and recruiting data to manage pipelines and improve results.
  • Fluent English, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively across U.S. and European time zones.
  • Based in the New York metro area and available for the agreed local collaboration and assignment schedule.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned recruitment processes from kickoff to close, including sourcing, screening, interviews, feedback, offer acceptance, and handover to People Operations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define business needs, create job descriptions, success criteria, scorecards, and interview plans.
  • Build targeted candidate pipelines using direct sourcing, personalized outreach, referrals, and application screening, focusing on Sales, Customer Success, and other U.S. functions.
  • Conduct structured candidate assessments during first interviews to evaluate experience, results, motivation, and role alignment.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience by setting clear expectations, coordinating interviews, gathering feedback, and communicating promptly.
  • Support offers and candidate closing by establishing compensation expectations and partnering on offers within approved budgets.
  • Maintain accurate ATS records and provide regular updates on pipeline progress, conversion, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring risks.
