The organization is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist/Recruiter who demonstrates values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, maintaining accurate applicant data, and improving talent acquisition workflows. The position requires strong analytical, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills to attract and retain top talent, collaborating with HR, hiring managers, and external partners. This is a non-unionized, full-time, permanent position with a rate of pay of $29.00 per hour, working 40 hours per week. It is a hybrid position combining remote and on-site work, with occasional travel required for meetings, recruitment events, and engagements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practices in recruiting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills, with experience in generating recruitment reports.
  • Readily available vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for all organizational roles, including job posting, resume screening, interview coordination and offer preparation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify position requirements and develop tailored job descriptions.
  • Utilize various sourcing channels (job boards, social media, networking events) to attract diverse talent.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external recruitment agencies and educational institutions to expand talent pipelines.
  • Work with Marketing and HR to develop and promote a compelling employer brand.
  • Promote and integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Ensure fair and unbiased selection methods by implementing structured interviews and standardized evaluation criteria.
  • Generate regular recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill) to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate candidate data.
  • Collaborate with payroll, hiring managers and HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
