Talent Acquisition Specialist III ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT The Talent Acquisition Specialist II (TASIII) is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The TASIII will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. The Specialist will partner with management in the identification, recruitment, and qualification of VyStar Credit Union’s on-going talent needs throughout our field of membership. Develop and implement recruitment/sourcing programs to expedite recruitment and staffing for VyStar via internal and external resources to ensure open positions are filled with high caliber talent to meet current and future needs. The Recruiter will manage the full recruiting life cycle for all positions within the organization with primary focus on the management and vice president level positions within the organization. This position will interface with internet sourcing tools and VyStar’s Applicant Tracking System on a daily basis. Interviews, screens and hires the best job applicants who meet employer qualifications to keep VyStar optimally staffed. Identify key recruiting metrics and report on the status of our progress on a weekly basis. Must stay abreast of legal requirements relating to Human Resources activities and provide value-added service to the VyStar management team.

Requirements

  • This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels.
  • As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image.
  • Demonstrated capability in recruiting for a wide variety of roles and levels in multiple functions required.
  • Strong marketplace (Jacksonville) and national recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in talent scouting and direct sourcing of candidates required.
  • Knowledge of HR recruitment practices including but not limited to compensation, global mobility, employment law, interviewing and sourcing strategies required.
  • Proficiency in the use of social media use (i.e., LinkedIn/job boards etc.) and software like MS Word, Outlook and Excel is required; experience with an applicant tracking system and with a talent relationship management system is preferred.
  • Up to approximately 15% of travel time may be required.
  • A bachelor's degree (4 years – BS or BA degree) and 6+ years of Human Resources recruiting experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a third party vendor as part of the recruiting process and/or University/ Graduate recruiting preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of all recruiting programs and activities of the organization.
  • Work on the complete end to end recruitment process with Hiring Manager, and other stakeholders for entry level to senior management level positions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in creating staffing plans, developing sourcing and interviewing strategies and implementing agreed upon action plans.
  • Deploy and use appropriate behavioral and competency based interview methodology and coach Hiring Managers or Teams on interviewing and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Identify and share recruitment best practices across business units of focus.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business, marketplace, legal and recruitment trends and requirements.
  • Provide company information to candidates and appropriately "sell" candidates on the value proposition of the VyStar Credit Union experience.
  • Advocate and drive for best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Provide candidate offer package recommendation to line managers.
  • Ensure data integrity by accurately and timely encoding of all information in the recruitment technology.
  • Manage all recruitment reports ensuring accuracy and submission in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the recruitment process flow complies with agreed service level agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
  • Prepare and maintain employment records.
  • Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations.
  • Screen and refer applicants to hiring personnel in the organization, making hiring recommendations.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Review and evaluate applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes.
  • Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional, statistical, and testing standards, recommending revision as needed.
  • Recruit applicants for open positions, arranging job fairs with college campus representatives.
  • Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs.
  • Project yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary consideration and control.
  • Address civic and social groups and attend conferences to disseminate information concerning possible job openings and career opportunities.
  • Work with VP HR and Manager, Talent Acquisition to provide data gathered when conducting compensation studies and job analysis.
  • Plans and directs activities concerned with developing sources of qualified applicants such as local agencies and recruiting contacts.
  • Consults with Manager, Talent Acquisition to select advertising media and negotiate advertising contracts.
  • Participates in job fairs and area networking activities.
  • Initiates and follows-up to completion all pre-employment processes (i.e. reference checks, background checks, drug screening etc.)
  • Develops statistical reports based on records kept on recruitment, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and performance appraisals, using knowledge of job requirements and legal selection processes.
  • Analyzes statistical data and other reports to identify recruiting and hiring trends, turnover trends, etc.
  • Recommends alternatives and solutions to policies, practices and programs to address problems discovered in analysis process
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Act as liaison with area employment agencies, preparation and liaison with advertising agencies, processing and checking advertising agency billings, liaison with temporary agencies, recording status of authorized positions within the corporations, employment verifications, employee referral program.
  • Completion of weekly report on employment activity, exit interview on terminating employees, completion of unemployment claims, representation at unemployment hearings, and finally, orientation of new employees.
  • Coordinates employment activities related to interviewing, selecting and hiring candidates; new hire orientation; and supervisor follow‑up.
  • When required, cooperate with government agents or VyStar’s internal auditors in the auditing of company’s employment policies and practices.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.
