The Talent Acquisition Specialist I coordinates functions or processes involved in the acquisition of high quality candidates by utilizing strategic recruiting methods under general supervision. Additional Department Summary: Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and attract qualified candidates. Administers University's staff employment programs and services. Ensures a positive candidate experience, maintains an organized recruitment process, and contributes to building a skilled workforce. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within the HR or recruitment field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, marketing, and/or human resources.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and job boards.
  • Knowledge of WordPress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of recruiting and talent acquisition techniques.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to independently and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects with efficiency and appropriate follow-through.
  • Ability to implement innovative and creative approaches to the recruitment and retention of employees.
