About The Position

Ryan Lawn & Tree is a rapidly growing, $100M+ professional Lawn & Landscape company serving customers across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. We are seeking an experienced Contract Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our HR team for a 3-4 month period, with the possibility of extension. This role is crucial to our hiring efforts, focusing on the initial stages of the recruitment pipeline, from application review to candidate screening, and also involves supporting the team with hiring administration. The position offers a great opportunity for a recruiter who excels in a dynamic environment, enjoys building candidate relationships, and values organization and efficiency. You will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 1–3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, in-house or agency.
  • Experience sourcing candidates and managing full early-stage recruitment pipelines.
  • Comfortable conducting structured phone screens and evaluating candidate fit.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS); experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, candidate-friendly approach.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with background check platforms and offer letter processing is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming applications and screen resumes to identify candidates who align with role requirements and company culture.
  • Schedule and conduct phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and overall fit before presenting them to hiring managers.
  • Assist with hiring administration, including offer letter preparation, background check initiation, and new hire onboarding tasks.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and requisition statuses within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and status reports to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships throughout the hiring process.
  • Support additional recruiting efforts as needed.
