About The Position

As the only digital banking platform in Canada offering a truly modern solution, Venn has experienced accelerated growth, supporting over 10,000 Canadian businesses in under two years. The company has raised over $26.5M from notable investors and is looking to redefine the future of banking in Canada. This role is for an existing vacancy and the company is looking to fill this role immediately.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience: agency, in-house, or both
  • Experience operating independently with minimal oversight, ideally as a sole recruiter or in a small team
  • Proven track record hiring software engineers across different stacks — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to know enough to source and screen credibly
  • Comfortable carrying 6+ reqs simultaneously without dropping pace or quality
  • AI-native: you use tools to source smarter and move faster, not just as a checkbox
  • Strong communication and organization skills, you keep hiring moving without being chased

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing for fintech, SaaS, or high growth companies
  • Experience with Ashby and Juicebox

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing, screening, scheduling, and closing for all open roles
  • Source and close world-class technical talent
  • Build and manage both inbound pipelines (job posts, employer brand) and outbound sourcing (direct outreach, boolean, AI tools)
  • Define role requirements directly with hiring managers and founders
  • Keep hiring moving without being chased
  • Handle light office management and support new hire onboarding logistics (low time commitment, ~1 hour/week)
