About The Position

Northwestern Mutual is looking for a talented individual to join us for a spring internship. The role will require 15 hours per week on site in our Paramus, NJ office. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day functionalities of Talent Acquisition. With direction from The Director of Recruiting, this role is responsible for district network office recruitment and selection efforts. This role will execute office recruiting plans to reach selection process activity, full time and intern contract and conversion goals, and online presence. Critical competencies in this position include interpersonal savvy, priority setting, strong verbal and written communication skills, and drive results.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in college
• Interest in identifying, engaging, and converting premier talent
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interest in working in a team-oriented environment
• Strong marketing skills

Responsibilities

• Utilize social media platform to source and engage with potential talent
• Use techniques to refine searches on search engines, job board, and social media
• Promote recruiting efforts through strategic marketing
• Actively participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
• Identify opportunities and assist in the coordination of on campus events including career fairs, guest speaking engagements, etc.
• Review resumes and schedule initial interviews
• Shadow interviews conducted by district recruiters and leaders
• Develop proficiency and use of applicant tracking system to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
• Assist in the coordination of leadership team meetings and the preparation of activity/results reports
