About The Position

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more – all with the goal of opening access space. The rockets and satellites we build, and launch enable some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation and missions to combat climate change, national security, and exciting new technology demonstrations. Our Electron rocket has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit, all while we work to develop Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds our extensive line of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft that have been selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope. The People & Culture team is responsible for looking after our most valuable asset: our people. Across our global teams, the People & Culture team supports our people and departments across recruitment, new staff orientation, compensation, learning and development. They make sure our growing and diverse global team is supported and capable of delivering our projects and customer’s missions, and they’re responsible for supporting their development, nurturing their skills and talent, and retaining the world-class people already on our team. Based at Rocket Lab's new headquarters in Long Beach, California the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day administrative tasks for the Talent Acquisition team. The ideal candidate will help ensure the hiring process is running seamlessly and provide a positive and professional candidate experience. You will support the Global Director of Talent Acquisition and the People & Culture organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, or other related fields
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of relevant laws and guiding principles regarding the recruitment processes
  • Must have prior experience with resume screening and communication with applicants
  • Proven history of successful recruitment support
  • Experience working in an applicant tracking system

Responsibilities

  • Schedule interviews and manage logistics for interviews across department leaders, liaising with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition.
  • Assist recruiters and hiring managers with tracking candidate activity and reporting the candidate "pipeline".
  • Run and prepare ad hoc reporting.
  • Perform a variety of other tasks as necessary to support the HR/Recruitment team and carry out day-to-day responsibilities.
