About The Position

The Part Time Tailor position at Levi’s® Century City, Los Angeles, CA is responsible for executing basic and technical alteration services. This role requires strong customer service skills to enhance the client experience and involves educating store teams on the offerings and services of the Tailor Shop. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the denim industry, current trends, textiles, and fabrics, with proven skills in sewing, tailoring, and textile repair. Awareness of design details and strong communication skills are also essential.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
• Understanding of textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
• Awareness of design and details
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
• Minimum of 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction
• Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
• Formal Training in apparel design preferred

Responsibilities

• Executes and is responsible for basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering, etc.)
• Performs technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes.)
• Exemplifies and possesses strong customer service skills to elevate our clients experience.
• Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
