About The Position

The Part Time Tailor is responsible for executing basic and technical alteration services, including hemming, patching, repair, and tapering. This role also involves fitting and tailoring items beyond jeans, requiring more technical equipment and detailed appearance altering processes. The Tailor will exemplify strong customer service skills to enhance the client experience and will educate and train store teams on the offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
• Understanding of textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
• Awareness of design and details
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
• Minimum of 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction
• Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
• Formal Training in apparel design preferred

Responsibilities

• Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
