About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Tagalog teacher for one-to-one General Tagalog classes in Honolulu, HI. The course will consist of 32 hours, spread over 16 two-hour lessons, twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays before noon. Classes will be held at the student's office or a public library in Honolulu, HI 96816. The student is a beginner, aged 25-34, with English as their native language. The student's motivation is to improve their Tagalog for better communication with family and during visits to the Philippines. They have basic vocabulary but need to develop grammar and conversational skills, with a focus on speaking.
Requirements
- Native Tagalog speaker OR hold a teaching degree.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid working visa.
- Live up to 20 miles from the client's location (Honolulu, HI 96816).
- Ability to submit a CV with references.
- Ability to state availability to start.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one General Tagalog language training.
