About The Position

The Tactical SIGINT/EW Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides operational, technical, and expeditionary expertise across Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Signals Intelligence (SI), Electronic Warfare (EW), and cyber enablement in support of MSO’s Special Training and Operations (STO) mission. Tactical SIGINT / EW SMEs support contracted customer requirements, mission validation exercises, operational programs and projects, and capability integration efforts across the Metrea enterprise. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical proficiency, operational judgment, and the ability to plan and execute expeditionary technical activities in complex environments with disciplined management of physical and electronic signatures. The SME advises customers, partners, and internal teams on the effective employment of ISR/EW capabilities and may contribute to the design and delivery of special training and exercise support as required to enable mission execution and demonstrate technical depth and leadership. Limited overseas operational support may be provided on an as needed and voluntary basis.

  • Strong technical proficiency across Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Signals Intelligence (SI), Electronic Warfare (EW), and cyber enablement theory, operations, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting ground-based or expeditionary ISR/SI/EW technical activities in support of mission or customer requirements
  • Experience operating in small-team, austere, or contested environments with limited external support
  • Hands-on experience with relevant SI/EW technologies and systems, including radio frequency (RF) theory, spectrum operations, direction finding, antenna construction and employment, and signal characterization
  • Working proficiency with HF/VHF/UHF analog and digital communications, Digital Push-To-Talk (DPTT), legacy and emerging cellular protocols (e.g., GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE), Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth, and advanced or emerging signal sets
  • Technical proficiency in ISR-supporting computing environments, including LINUX-based systems, computer networking, and close-access cyber enablement
  • Experience employing Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), commercial, and partner SI/EW systems in operational, exercise, or training environments
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, adapt to, and employ new or emerging SI, EW, and cyber technologies, equipment, and threat environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for operators, customers, and partners
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief, instruct, and support classroom, laboratory, and field-based activities
