About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Guard in Long Beach, California. The role calls for keen observation, the ability to assess surroundings and anticipate risks, and the physical ability to move around and patrol throughout the shift. Patrol settings may include retail stores, airports, and detention centers.

The position is full-time on a Monday–Friday swing shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $22.50. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and complete the additional 32 hours of BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Protect the safety of individuals and property.
