About The Position

As Tactical Desk Manager, you'll be the shift leader and single point of accountability for every flight in the air or on the ground. You'll exercise delegated Operational Control under FAA Part 135, using AI-driven recommendations and real-time data to make the calls that keep the fleet moving safely and on schedule, escalating only what truly needs senior leadership. This role is for someone who thrives under pressure: a decisive, safety-first operator who can process a lot of moving information fast, lead cross-functional coordination across dispatch, crew, and maintenance, and communicate clearly and with authority when it matters most.

Requirements

• Experience in Part 135 operations, dispatch, or OCC leadership.
• Strong understanding of operational control and real-time flight operations.
• Proven ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment under pressure.
• Comfortable operating in a data-driven, AI-supported environment.
• Clear, authoritative communicator with strong cross-functional coordination skills.

Nice To Haves

• FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
• Experience in large cabin or international operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational picture for your shift, serving as the single point of accountability for every flight in progress.
• Exercise delegated Operational Control under FAA Part 135, making significant real-time decisions without waiting for prior approval.
• Review, validate, and act on AI-generated recommendations for aircraft swaps, IROPS recovery, and schedule adjustments.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across dispatch, crew scheduling, and maintenance control during irregular operations.
• Communicate decisions clearly and with authority to flight crews, internal teams, and senior leadership.
• Deliver complete, accurate shift handovers and flag recurring issues for process improvement.
