About The Position

Under the supervision of the Table Games Supervisor, the Table Games Dealer is responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing a specific table game according to Gold Country Casino policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming Regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and staff.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations.
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience equal to standard high school graduate.
  • Proven knowledge, training and/or experience the assigned game required.
  • Basic knowledge of all current Casino procedures required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must pass initial drug screening, background investigation, random drug tests and credit check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for dealing the games and the protection and control of the game being dealt, Blackjack and other Casino specific table games.
  • Conducts the games in accordance with the Casino’s policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Table Games Supervisor of any irregularities.
  • Advises Table Games Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
  • Informs the Table Games Supervisor of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players and their action.
  • Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience.
  • Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of customer service, hospitality and developing players.
  • Promotes departmental and property with promotions.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming law (Tribal, Federal, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Casino’s and Gaming Commission’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of customer service at all times.
  • Responsible for being available to work any shift, any day on short notice when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record when scheduled.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.
