About The Position

A Table Games Dealer at JACK Cleveland Casino is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by dealing all offered games in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner. This role involves assisting guests unfamiliar with table games, promoting table and poker games, and serving guests while standing on inactive games. The dealer must demonstrate a strong understanding of dealing policies and gaming procedures, adhering to internal controls, Ohio Casino Control Commission regulations, and company policies. They are expected to meet departmental dealer efficiency metrics, report any irregular play or disputes to their supervisor, and consistently represent JACK Entertainment positively. Key responsibilities include safeguarding casino assets, protecting and controlling the game, verifying transactions, handling guest interactions accurately, and maintaining JACK courtesy guidelines to promote outstanding guest relations. The role also includes performing other assigned duties and assisting in guest training.

Requirements

Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to continuously perform repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder motion.
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
Respond to visual and aural cues.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Must be able to perform basic math quickly.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public.
Must be 21 years of age.
Skill Set Must Include One Of The Following Games Or Game Combinations Which Could Include Two Core Games: Blackjack, and five (5) Carnival Games Carnival Games: - Ultimate Texas Hold-Em, 3 Card, Mississippi Stud, Pai Gow Poker, Deuces Joker Wild, I Luv Suits, ( a.k.a. High Card Flush) Roulette (Core) Mini Baccarat (Core) Craps (Core)
Ability to obtain, and maintain a Ohio Casino Control Commission Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

Deliver great customer service by dealing all games offered in a friendly and helpful manner with an upbeat/positive attitude.
Assist in training guests not familiar with various table games products.
Promote table and poker games and serve guests while standing on dead games.
Demonstrate an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
Deal games in accordance with internal controls, Ohio Casino Control Commission regulations, and company policy.
Maintain applicable departmental dealer efficiency metrics.
Inform Supervisor and/or Manager of unnatural or irregular play and disputes on game.
Always present oneself as a credit to JACK Entertainment and encourage others to do the same.
Safeguard casino assets.
Be responsible for the protection and control of the game.
Conduct games in accordance with Company policies and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and gaming regulatory requirements.
Verify and sign for Fills, Credits, Marker Issuance, and all documentation listed in JACK Internal Controls.
Handle guest transactions and notify Floor Supervisor of any irregularities.
Exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner.
Advise Floor Supervisor of any disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
Support and maintain JACK courtesy guidelines at all times.
Promote outstanding guest relations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
