About The Position
Boyd Gaming Corporation is a premier casino entertainment company in the United States. We are seeking a Table Games Dealer to deal assigned games according to established policies and procedures while providing outstanding customer service. This role involves dealing live table games according to standard rules, company procedures, and applicable gaming regulations. The dealer will shuffle and deal cards accurately, calculate the face value of cards, exchange cash for chips, manage bets, and complete required documentation. The position also requires notifying supervisors of any irregularities and providing excellent customer service. Dealers will learn, deal, and rotate through multiple table games and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable company policies and gaming regulations.
- Must have excellent customer skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time for majority of shift.
- Must be able to bend and reach across gaming table.
- Must be able to use hands to deal and collect playing cards.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months of prior experience or dealer’s school strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deal assigned games according to established policies and procedures while providing outstanding customer service.
- Deal respective live table games according to standard rules, company procedures, and applicable gaming regulations.
- Shuffle and deal cards accurately to customers.
- Quickly and accurately calculate face value of cards.
- Exchange cash for proper denominations of chips.
- Pick up losing bets and cards from customer’s betting square. Pay winning bets and place chips in appropriate betting square.
- Complete any required forms, records, and documents.
- Notify supervisor of any irregularities in the game, including play, possible gaming violations, personnel, or operational problems.
- Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
- Learn, deal, and rotate through multiple different table games (seated and standing).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
