About The Position

This position involves learning and performing the duties of a Table Games Dealer. The role requires learning to interact with customers and colleagues, handle money and chips professionally, and conduct various gambling games. Key responsibilities include accurate manipulation of game equipment, tracking game progress, performing quick mathematical calculations for bets and payouts, and ensuring the protection and control of the game. The dealer must maintain a positive and courteous atmosphere, provide excellent customer service, verify customer winnings, explain gaming rules, and keep customers satisfied. Adherence to uniform standards, alertness, and awareness of casino operations are crucial. A key responsibility is verifying that customers are 21 years of age or older. Successful completion of a 90-day introductory period and subsequent training for Roulette are required for continued employment. This role also requires adherence to the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and related regulations, with special attention to underage gaming and patron alcohol consumption. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The position may also involve special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for an entire work shift with standard breaks.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and uphold 4-star standards.
  • Demonstrated ability performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Able to communicate clearly and tactfully.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must have a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
  • Essential duties involve performing physical exertion including dexterity with cards, brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks.
  • Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds and working any day of the week, any shift of the day, with additional hours occasionally required.

Nice To Haves

  • After completion of a 90 day introductory period, must complete training for Roulette to continue employment.
  • Once Roulette training is completed, Dealers are eligible for promotion to Dual Rate Supervisor.
  • Supervising is a requirement of Full Time employment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to respond to visual and oral signals from customers and fellow employees.
  • Learn to pitch cards, handle money efficiently, and handle chips in a professional manner.
  • Conduct gambling games such as Blackjack, House Poker, and Baccarat.
  • Manipulate cards, chips, and gaming devices such as roulette wheels and craps sticks accurately.
  • Keep track of the game and players’ actions.
  • Perform quick basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to accept bets, pay winners, and collect from losers.
  • Responsible for the protection and control of the game being dealt.
  • Maintain a superior and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees.
  • Provides personal attention and assistance to customers by verifying customer winnings and explaining gaming rules and regulations.
  • Acts to keep customers satisfied and motivated to return regardless of if they win or lose.
  • Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and gaming license.
  • Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times.
  • Verifies customers are 21 years of age or older.
  • Complete training for Roulette after a 90-day introductory period.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies and procedures, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
  • Provide special attention to underage gaming as well as recommendations to Table Games Supervisors in reference to alcohol consumption by patrons.
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
