About The Position

The Table Games Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for stimulating business by identifying and developing quality players through personal guest interaction. This role ensures that all table games employees on their shift provide optimum service and technical proficiency through guidance and effective training. The Assistant Shift Manager observes and analyzes the integrity of play and guest/employee activity, ensuring adherence to all laws, gaming regulations, and procedures, including Title 31 requirements. They provide directional support and supervision to gaming employees to ensure game protection and excellent customer service, mediating and solving problems for both employees and guests. This position identifies operational and organizational opportunities, working with management to develop and implement solutions, and is capable of creating training modules for the Table Games Department. Additionally, they build rapport and coordinate daily activities with support departments, acting as a role model and representing Downstream Casino Resort and the Table Games Department positively.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sequential levels of table games operations in a supervisory capacity or more.
  • Complete knowledge of all table games policies and procedures.
  • Complete working knowledge of inter-departmental procedures and activities that occur daily.
  • Must have sound computer skills and literacy with Microsoft windows applications.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, developmental, and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to analyze computer generated reports on various table games products/programs.

Responsibilities

  • Stimulate business, identify, and develop quality players through personal interaction with each guest.
  • Ensures all table games employees on their shift provide optimum service to all guests.
  • Ensures technical proficiency of all table games employees through guidance and effective training programs.
  • Observe and analyze the integrity of play and activity of guests and employees on their shift and relay such information to the Table Games Shift Manager.
  • Ensures adherence to all laws, gaming regulations and procedures.
  • Comply with all Title 31 requirements.
  • Provides directional support and supervision to all gaming employees to ensure game protection and excellent customer service.
  • Mediate and solve problems for employees and guests and establish and maintain effective lines of communication not only on his/her shift, but throughout the department.
  • Identify operational and organizational opportunities and work with the table games management team to recommend, develop and implement sound solutions through upper management.
  • Create training modules for the Table Games Department.
  • Responsible for building a rapport and coordinating daily activities with support departments.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort and the Table Games Department and encourages others to do the same.
