About The Position

As a T55 Assembly Mechanic - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in assembling, testing, and maintaining T55 engines and related components. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality and reliability of our products, contributing directly to the performance and safety of our aerospace customers. You will report directly to our Assembly Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the operational readiness and mission success of our customers by delivering expertly assembled and tested engine components that meet stringent quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in assembly and mechanical work, preferably with aerospace engines or related mechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection processes
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, disassembly, and testing of T55 engines and components according to technical manuals and specifications
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any discrepancies or issues
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly and testing challenges
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
