About The Position

As a Machinist Level 2 FAA here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools to produce precision metal parts and instruments. You will play a key role in ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and production schedules while adhering to safety protocols. You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations by producing high-quality components that meet customer specifications and support Honeywell’s commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders with precision.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and inspection techniques to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Experience with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in machining or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a machining environment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and CNC machine operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing production priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining of parts.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
