About The Position

The T.E.A.C.H. (Training and Educating for a Career in Healthcare) program introduces participants to Broadlawns’ work culture and career paths. Participants in the T.E.A.C.H. Apprenticeship Program are identified as having one or more significant barriers to entering the workforce. In partnership with DMACC, Iowa Workforce Development, and Urban Dreams, Broadlawns Medical Center is proud to offer paid apprenticeship opportunities for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Interns receive transferrable college credits by completing the Basic and Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training through DMACC. Following program completion, graduates may transition into Health Care Tech employment at Broadlawns Medical Center.

Requirements

• Identify with one or more significant barriers to entering the workforce.
• Focus on candidates from Broadlawns' neighboring communities.
• Attend all DMACC classes; missed days will result in termination from the program.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Basic and Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training through DMACC.
