About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Systems Test Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer for the Sentinel program, located in Colorado Springs, CO. This role supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The position involves a blend of responsibilities within the Command System (CS) Launch, Guidance and Control (LGC) Embedded Test Team and the CS Lab Operations Team. Test engineering duties include developing unit-level hardware test procedures, collaborating with Systems Engineers on requirement text development, and supporting higher-level test activities. Lab operations responsibilities include leading coordination for lab integration activities with various Product Teams and leading the establishment and enforcement of lab operations policies such as Configuration Management (CM), Lab Access, and Lab Scheduling. This role requires strong technical content coordination with Product Teams and effective communication with various lab stakeholders.

Requirements

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
Experience working in a Modeled Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment using software such as DOORS, CAMEO.
Demonstrated experience of system integration (HW and SW) and test principles.
Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).
Experience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira).
Experience with data collection/instrumentation and lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, multimeters, o-scopes).

Nice To Haves

Active TS clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
Current CompTIA Security+ certification
Working knowledge of system integration (HW and SW) and test principles.
Experience defining test objectives based on test requirements.
Experience with data collection/instrumentation methods.
Experience in troubleshooting anomalous hardware and software.
Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).
Experience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira)
Experience in design, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting of test cables, test sets and support equipment.
