About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. This role will be part of the Sentinel Logistics Support team, specifically supporting the Logistics System Capability Thread. Requirements

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • 2+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.
  • 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation in a DoD Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase.
  • 1+ years’ experience in team environments with technical leadership responsibilities.
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS.

Nice To Haves

  • ICBM Experience (MMIII or Sentinel).
  • Experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Proficiency in DOORS including DXL scripting.
  • 3+ years’ experience writing requirements and/or verification plans.
  • Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.
  • Experience working with internal and external teams to accomplish tasking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
  • Manage and optimize databases for Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) tools.
  • Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
  • Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
  • Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
  • Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).
  • Manage program governance and assist subject matter experts in the development of program compliance documents.
