As a Mechanical/Propulsion Systems Test Engineer 3 with United Launch Alliance on the Operations Systems Engineering team at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA., your main responsibilities include: Develop test procedures and conduct system testing and operation of the Vulan and Atlas V launch vehicles and ground systems from receipt of the flight hardware through launch at our West and East Coast LaunchSites. Testing involves hazardous operations including transportation and hoisting operations, working with cryogenics, high-pressure gases and fluids. Analyze test data including off-nominal data for accuracy. Perform troubleshooting of vehicle and ground systems when anomalies occur. Some testing may involve hazardous operations of systems including work at heights, confined spaces, ordnance, and propulsion fluids systems (cryogenic, non-cryogenic, hydraulics, and pneumatics).
