Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the summer internship / session.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Prior RTX internship experience
  • Python programming
  • Experience with data analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific majors: Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Applied Math, Industrial Engineering, or related scientific or STEM discipline.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Git, databases, linux/UNIX
  • Knowledge of C++, Java
  • Awareness of Six Sigma techniques
  • Experience with any modeling and simulation software
  • Agile-style project participation
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute your knowledge of programming, data analysis and problem-solving to modeling and simulation or related efforts.
  • Support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input and guidance from functional management, project leads, and more experienced teammates.
  • Gain an initial understanding of operational analysis by participating in either mission or campaign analysis, or other related projects.
